Just past his 16th Birthday, in January of 1996, Marco and 19 year old Marcel Verboom, left home with another boy who drove them to their High School dance.  Without our knowledge, they left the dance that night to pick up the boy’s father arriving at the airport.  The boy drove recklessly and lost control of the car.  Both passengers were killed in the rollover accident.  The driver walked away without a bruise, loosing all recollection of the events and was charged with double vehicular homicide.  No drugs or alcohol were involved, only speed.  We were left with so many unanswered questions and plunged into grief.

But that is not the end of the story!  Within a few weeks and for several months thereafter, Marco and Marcel gave striking evidence of their continued existence.  Their two mothers became especially aware of unusual occurrences and synchronicities that kept happening.  These phenomena are now known as ADCs, or spontaneous after death communication, first documented by Bill and Judy Guggenheim in their book “Hello from Heaven”, but we knew nothing of this at the time.

We did months of reading to understand we were not going crazy…  Then we decided to attempt our own communication.  New ways of interacting required learning and perseverance on both sides, but paid off.   Within five months, the first direct rudimentary contact was achieved. 

Now, close to 30 years later, I have been privileged to experience most of the phenomena listed in the Marco Project Guidelines and more.  The evolving, heartwarming journey that reshaped my world continues.  It is my hope that supporting new scientific investigation will help break through current taboos and demystify paranormal manifestations.
