Home Circles

January 23, 2025:

We’re delighted to welcome Inge Crosson as the Mentor of our second group in IONS’ Home Circle Pilot Study. Each group is limited to eight Circles. We still have a couple of spots available in each group. Let us know if you are interested. Being part of a research group with like minded people can be inspiring as well as fun. You’ll also be making a meaningful contribution to the understanding of Physical Mediumship.

December 2024:

We are happy to report that IONS’ Pilot Study of Home Circles is well underway. Seven Circles, from 4 different Countries, joined this first group under the mentorship of Uwe and Beate Siegert. We hope to find another suitable Mentor next year to add a second group of Circles to the study.

We are tracking the development of Physical Mediums and Physical Phenomena in the context of small dedicated sitter groups.   If you are part of a Home Circle of 2-8 regular members, who attend in person, we would love to talk with you.

Our Pilot Study launched in May 2024 under the direction and mentorship of Beate and Uwe Siegert. We can still accept a couple of Circles in this program. Contact Anna if you want more information and to see if you meet the requirements of the study.

Circle names are kept confidential. Group members, other than the Circle leader/host, can participate by only giving their initials. Results and insights will be shared with participants as they become available. ALL FINAL DATA WILL BE ANONYMIZED.

Definition of Home Circle:
Home Circles date back to early Spiritualism when family members and/or close friends gathered in the home to seek Spirit communication. Depending on the participants’ intent, there are different kinds of Home Circles. This study focuses on Home Circles with 2-8 individuals who meet regularly in person, usually in a home setting, to develop physical mediumship and meaningful communication with spirit beings. The intent of the Home Circle is for the energies to manifest physically. Intent is key.

Home Circle Group:
The number of Home Circles accepted in each group is at the sole discretion of the mentor but will not exceed eight Home Circles, including the mentor’s, if applicable. Each group can start small, add or lose members, or, in concert with IONS, spin off a new group. This model allows the program to grow organically if the Home Circle study expands.

Home Circle Mentors are experienced persons who preferably have their own established Home Circle that may or may not be part of the study. Each knowledgeable mentor can also provide support and an avenue for the Home Circles to share information within the group and learn from each other.

This study aims to investigate the development of physical mediums and paranormal physical manifestations in the context of small dedicated groups. This study focuses on Home Circles with 2-8 individuals (with an occasional guest if desired) who meet regularly in person, usually in a home setting, to develop physical mediumship and meaningful communication with spirit beings.

The Monkeys and The Mango Tree

(Is a Home Circle right for you?)

When my 3 grandsons were little, I used to read them “The Monkeys and The Mango Tree” book.

In the story, the monkeys, who loved to eat Mangos stolen from the farmer’s orchard, decide to plant their own tree.  They dig a hole, plant the large seed and cover it up with dirt.  Then they all sit around and wait.  Soon they become impatient.  Why is nothing coming up?  Something must be wrong.  Let’s check.  So they dig up the seed and then replant it.  This repeats many times, each time disrupting the nature of the process they hope for.  Finally, the monkeys come to the conclusion that monkeys are not meant to be farmers.

Is a Home Circle right for you?  In the development of Spirit communication and manifestation there is a lot of time spent waiting.  It looks like nothing is happening, much as it did above ground in the story.  YOU cannot develop Mediumship. You can only be developed by allowing the process to unfold and cooperating Spirits to do the work on their side.  You will attract the right ones by your sincere desire, need, purpose and dedication.  That part  you can count on.  The world of Spirit is not somewhere else, it’s all around us.  You can be sure that, however long it takes, it will have been worth the wait.

If you’re considering starting a Home Circle, Robin Foy’s Basic Guide has many helpful suggestions.  He provided it free of charge and we are glad to pass it on that way, upon request,  to anyone who may benefit from it.
